Foam Chamber

A foam chamber is a firefighting device used to mix foam concentrate with water to create firefighting foam. It’s typically installed in fixed roof storage tanks containing flammable liquids. When a fire occurs, the foam chamber’s design allows water to flow through it, creating turbulence that mixes in the foam concentrate and forms foam. This foam is then introduced into the storage tank, suppressing the fire by preventing fuel vapor release and cooling the surface. Foam chambers are critical in preventing and managing dangerous flammable liquid fires.
